Typography is all around us. Big, small, UPPER and lower, BOLD, italic, Serif and Sans Serif, Times to Universe, text type to Display type. In graphic design we often times get caught up in the day and forget about the importance of typography in our designs. How does the type relate to the form and content of each design? How does it integrate and speak to us? We are visual communicators, but our TYPE is KING. What typeface will you choose for your next project? How will that impact your design? Your message?

In teaching a Typography II class this semester, I’ve compiled a great list of resources that may be of help. Sometimes it’s good to get a refresher course and get back to the basics.
